Trees of the Season – Wool Appliqué Block of the Month

Join us for a year-long creative journey as we stitch our way through a beautiful Tree of the Month wool appliqué quilt! In this special Block of the Month program, participants will meet once each month for a two-hour class where Mary and Marjorie of M&M Sew Charming will guide you through creating a unique wool appliqué tree block.

Each month you’ll receive a new tree pattern, and during class you’ll learn a variety of wool appliqué techniques and decorative embroidery stitches used to embellish your tree. Over the course of the program you’ll build a rich collection of stitching skills while watching your quilt grow block by block into a charming seasonal sampler filled with texture, color, and personality. The finished quilt features a series of whimsical trees arranged in a grid layout and heavily embellished with embroidery, decorative stitches, and dimensional details for a truly one-of-a-kind piece.

This program is perfect for anyone who enjoys slow stitching, hand appliqué, and creative embellishment. Whether you are new to wool appliqué or already love working with wool, Mary and Marjorie will coach you through the process each month and help you develop the skills needed to bring your trees to life.

How the Program Works

This program is designed to spread the cost out over the year and make participation easy and flexible.

$15 one-time registration fee – due when you sign up.
This covers the Trees of the Season pattern and program registration.

$15 per month class fee – billed automatically each month.
This covers the monthly 2-hour instructional class with Mary and Marjorie.

When you register, you will be enrolled in a monthly subscription, and your card will automatically be billed each month for the class fee.

Can’t attend every session? No problem! Participants will still receive the monthly pattern, and Mary and Marjorie will help you get caught up the next time you attend.

If at any point you find you cannot continue with the program, you may cancel your subscription at any time.

Schedule

First Session – Informational Meeting
June 10 | 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM

Our first meeting will be an informational session where Mary and Marjorie will introduce the Trees of the Season program, discuss materials and supplies, and answer questions before stitching begins.

Monthly Classes
Beginning the following month, classes will meet on the Second Wednesday each month from noon – 2:00 PM.

During these monthly sessions, participants will receive their new tree pattern and learn the wool appliqué and embroidery stitches used to embellish that month’s block.
